Kathmandu, Jan 25: The 46th Tourist Police Day was marked in the capital city today.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey honoured different organizations and personalities for their support to the Tourist Police.
On the occasion, Minister Pandey appreciated the role played by Tourist Police for security of tourists and addressing their grievances. Laying emphasis on tourism promotion, Minister Pandey viewed that all tourism fraternities should uplift their capacity.
Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar said coordinated role of all stakeholders was utmost for the security of tourists adding that the lone efforts of police were not sufficient for this.
Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Binod Prakash Singh, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board Dipak Raj Joshi and other officials shared their views at the event. RSS #nepal #Tourist
