Kathmandu, Nov 11: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police has identified and apprehended three individuals accused of defrauding victims by falsely promising employment opportunities in various countries.
The suspects were involved in scamming youth by offering fake overseas job placements, collecting large sums of money, and disappearing with the funds.
After a thorough investigation, they have been detained from different locations.
Details of Accused Individuals:
1. Kamala Kumari KC, 40.
– Address: Kavrepalanchok, Bethanchok Rural Municipality-1
– Current Residence: Kathmandu, Kageshwori-23, Banasthali
– Amount Collected: NRs 5,50,000
2. Sita BK, 22.
– Address: Badiya Rural Municipality-1, Bardiya
– Amount Collected: NRs 10,00,000
3. Maniraj Chaudhary, 26.
– Address: Mechi Municipality-1, Jhapa
– Amount Collected: NRs 2,50,000
These suspects have allegedly defrauded several individuals under the pretense of providing employment abroad.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office urges the public to be cautious of such schemes and to report any suspicious activities, said Kaji Kumar Acharya, Superintendent of Police.
