SURKEHT: President Bidya Devi Bhandari today visited Kakrebihar, a key touristic site in Surkhet district. President Bhandari arrived in Surkhet this afternoon for an unofficial visit.
On the occasion, President Bhandari said the Karnali Province bears immense potential in tourism and the historical heritages like Kakrebihar should be promoted.
Likewise, the President inquired about historicity, construction process and management aspects of Kakrebihar.
Mayor of Birendranagar Municipality Mohanmaya Dhakal said people welcomed the President on her visit to Kakrebihar.
After the visit, Mayor Dhakal handed over a token of love to the President on behalf of the municipality.
At Kakrebihar premises, Members of Karnali Province Assembly and, people’s representatives and officials of Birendranagar Municipality welcomed the President.
The President is scheduled to visit Badimalika, a famous religious site of Sudurpaschim, on Wednesday morning. President Bhandari is scheduled to stay at the Western Command Headquarters of the Nepal Army at Nimare this night.
