President Paudel administers oath to newly-appointed Minister Anita Devi



Kathmandu, Aug 14: President Ram Chandra Paudel has administered oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Anita Devi Sah.

Minister Anita Devi took the oath of office at a ceremony organized at the Office of the President today.

According to the Nepal Constitution, the newly-appointed minster shall take oath of office from the President.
Minister Anita Devi is a Member of Parliament from the Janamat Party.

Also present on the occasion were Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Janamat Party Chair CK Raut, constitutional bodies chiefs, chief secretary and security bodies’ chiefs.

Anita Devi represents Terai-based Janamat Party. The ruling CPN Maoist Centre had decided to recall Minister Aman Lal Modi as part of power sharing agreement reached between CPN Maoist Centre and Janamat Party.
