Kathmandu, Aug 29: President Ram Chandra Paudel has authenticates the Bill on Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission of Inquiry on Missing Citizens (TRC).
President Paudel on Thursday authenticated the bill according to clause (2) of Article 113 of the Constitution of Nepal.
The TRC Bill passed by the National Assembly and the House of Representatives was sent to President’s Office on August 28, 2024 after the approval by Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
The Bill will become legal after it is published in the gazette.
TRC bill will address the long-awaited truth and reconciliation provisions and reparation of the conflict victims.
