Kathmandu, Dec 5: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has returned to Nepal today after completing a four-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
At the Tribhuvan International Airport, Prime Minister Oli was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, senior government officials, and heads of security agencies. A special honor was paid to him by a squad of the Nepal Army.
Prime Minister Oli had left for China on December 2, 2024, at the friendly invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. During his stay in Beijing, Prime Minister Oli held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.
Furthermore, discussions took place between Prime Minister Oli and Chinese Premier Li Quiang, as well as with the Chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC), Zhao Leji. Several bilateral matters of mutual interest were discussed during these meetings. During the visit, several agreements between Nepal and China were also signed.
The Nepalese delegation, led by Prime Minister Oli, included his spouse Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic and Development Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada, Members of Parliament, senior government officials, private sector business representatives, and media persons. #nepal #china
