Prohibitory order extended by one more week in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu: Prohibitory order has been extended by one more week in Kathmandu Valley.

Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Janakraj Dahal, shared that the restriction order has been extended till September 2 midnight to be effective in all three districts of Kathmandu Valley.

Issuing a notice today, the District Administration Office said that the prohibitory order has been extended by one more week. The Office also urged all to fully implement the order as coronavirus infection is found increasing.

A meeting of Chief District Officer of three districts in the Kathmandu Valley had taken place on Tuesday to make decision over this issue.

The District-level Crisis Management Centre had recommended to extend the prohibitory order by a week in the meeting.

The prohibitory order has been extended on the basis of this recommendation.

A meeting comprising chief district officer of three districts in the Valley had issued prohibitory order for a week to be implemented from August 19 midnight and the prohibitory order terminates from this midnight.

Activities except essential ones would not be allowed during the prohibition hour.

Prohibitory order has been issued in around 50 districts including Kathmandu Valley drawing a conclusion that coronavirus infection has increased.

All types of business except essential service would remain closed during the restriction hour. Entry of vehicles except essential goods loaded vehicles, vehicles of health workers, security personnel has been restricted in Kathmandu Valley.

Movement of all public and private vehicles has been prohibited in Kathmandu Valley.

However, movement of staffs of essential service to be deputed in management of coronavirus prevention, control and treatment and civil service is allowed from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm on the basis of identity card along with photograph issued by the respective office.
