DHANUSHA: A total of 11 Province Assembly members in Province No 2 belonging to Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) have been verified for the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) on Wednesday.
They reached the office of the Election Commission of Nepal’s provincial office at Janakpurdham and verified for the Mahantha Thakur-led new party-LSP.
Those verified for the LSP are Surita Shah, Jayanul Rain, Babita Chaudhary, Nilam Devi Bhumiharin, Alaka Jha, Gauri Narayan Shah, Janaki Sharan Shah, Parameshwor Shah, Ramesh Prasad Kurmi, Babulal Shah and Upendra Mahato, according to Pushpa Kumari Jha, chief of province office of the Commission.
Earlier, there were a total of 55 members in the Province Assembly in the Province No 2- 30 from the then Samajwadi Party and 25 from the then Rastriya Janata Party.
Other JSP parliamentarians having inclination towards LSP will reach the office of the Election Commission in the Province on coming Thursday and Friday for further verification, shared a leader from LSP on the condition of anonymity.
