Morang, Aug 6: Chief Minister of the Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki has expressed the commitment to enhance capacity of women journalists.
Receiving a memorandum from the central and provincial officials of the Sancharika Samuha today, he shared the province government’s dedication to provide necessary support to hone skills and knowledge of women journalists.
Chief Minister Karki emphasized that the province government will work in favor of women journalists to the possible extent.
He also mentioned the plan to work for journalists’ welfare through the upcoming establishment of a Communication and Journalism Institute by the province government.
Chief Minister Karki shared his intention to take all possible measures and efforts from his side to enact gender-friendly laws and prioritize women in the communications sector.
