Kathmandu, May 17: The Department of Transport Management has adjusted the fares of inter-provincial public transport. According to the Department, fares are automatically adjusted based on the price of fuel.
According to the Department, there has been a decrease of 3.20 percent in passenger vehicles and 4.19 percent in freight vehicles operating on hilly and mountain roads. Similarly, the fare has been reduced by 4.65 percent in freight vehicles in terai-madhes. The Department has been adjusting the fare if the price of fuel increases or decreases by 5 percent.
Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the diesel price by Rs. 10 per liter on Tuesday alone.
