Pushpa Lal a farsighted, nationalist leader: Madhav Nepal

Kathmandu, July 23: The Founding General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Lal, has been remembered on his 46th memorial day.

During a programme organized by the Pushpa Lal Memorial Foundation at the Pushpa Lal Memorial Park located at Kirtipur-4 on Monday, various speakers spoke on his contribution in Nepal’s communist politics.

On the occasion, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) and of the Foundation, Madhav Kumar Nepal, reminded that leader Pushpa Lal was an able organization builder, nationalist and farsighted one. “Pushpa Lal was the founder of the principle of joint people’s movement waged against the autocratic Panchayat system,” Nepal said, adding that the communist leaders, including Pushpa Lal have significant role in Nepali politics.

Several governments have been formed under the leadership of communist parties and efforts are underway for socioeconomic transformation, according to him.

Leader Nepal further remembered that Pushpa Lal was a firm and untiring figure to take ahead Nepal’s revolutionary movement and political struggles. He had unrivalled devotion for party, country and the people.

Respected leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Jhalanath Khanal, General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal, communist leader Bam Dev Gautam and others also addressed the programme and garlanded leader Pushpa Lal’s image.

Born at Bhangeri of Ramechhap district on Asar 15, 1981BS, leader Pushpa Lal had passed away during treatment in India on Saun 7, 2035BS.

The Communist Party of Nepal was established with the joint initiative of leader Pushpa Lal, Nar Bahadur Karmacharya, Niranjan Govind Vaidya, Narayan Vilas Joshee, and Moti Devi Shresha in 2006BS. #nepal #madhav #Jhalanath
