Kathmandu, April 3: Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has registered his candidature in Chitwan constituency 2 for the by-election to be held on April 23, 2023.
Along with party leaders and workers and well-wishers, he reached the Election Officer and registered his nomination. Earlier, the Supreme Court had canceled his Member of House of Representatives after not following citizenship procedure even though he renounced his US citizenship.
Deepak Bohora, a central member of the party, informed that after registering his candidacy, Lamichhane will go to Damauli in Tanahu and participate in the program to register the nomination of Swarnim Wagle, who became a candidate on behalf of the party in Tanahu-1.
Recently, economist Wagle has left Nepali Congress and joined RSP.
