Rastriya Swatantra Party and Janamat Party submit names for PR MPs

Kathmandu: Rabi Lamichhane led Rastriya Swatantra Party has submitted the list of members of the House of Representatives for the proportional election system to the Election Commission.

The party’s central committee meeting held on Saturday submitted the final list of candidates from the closed list to the commission. According to party spokesperson Dr. Mukul Dhakal, the names of 13 people have been submitted to the commission on behalf of the party.

The party has submitted the names of Santosh Pariyar, Shiv Nepali, Dr. Dhaka Kumar Shrestha, Indira Rana Magar, Sumana Shrestha, Dr. Chanda Karki, Dol Prasad Aryal, Nisha Dangi, Binita Kathayat, Laxmi Tiwari, Manish Jha, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Asim Sah to the commission.

Janamat Party submitted the name of proportional MP

Likewise, CK Rau led Janamat Party has submitted the names of proportional members to the Election Commission. The party that won one seat directly among the members of the House of Representatives won five seats proportionally.

The party has recommended Anita Sah and Bashant Kumar Kushwaha (Medheshi), Sonu Murmar and Binita Kumari Singh (Indiginous), Abdul Khan (Muslim) and Goma Lama Sapkota (Khas Arya) as proportional members of the House of Representatives.

Similarly, the proportional members of the state assembly are Babita Raut and Anita Kumari Sah (Madhesi women), Chandan Kumar Singh (Madhesi minority), Ranju Kumari Khang (Khatwe) (Dalit woman), Basant Kumar Kushwaha (Madhesi), Hasina Khatun (Muslim woman) and Bhagyashree Kumari Chaudhary from tribes in Madhes province.
The party has recommended Suman Sharma Rayamazhi as proportional member in Lumbini region and Geeta Gurung for tribals.

The Janmat Party directly won one seat in the House of Representatives and seven members in the Provincial Assembly, six in Madhes and one in Lumbini.
