RBB signs start-up ideas for youths



Kathmandu: A joint consortium of Bagmati State Government, Rastriya Banijya Bank and Bishal Foundation have called proposals from youths for Start-up Ideas to become an entrepreneur.

The initiative will collect youth’s knowledge, skill and capacity, and best ideas will be awarded concessional loans after providing necessary trainings. The loans will be managed by Rastriya Banijya Bank.

An agreement was signed on Wednesday between Bagmati State Secretary Dr Sindhu Prasad Dhungana, Chief Executive Officer at RBB Kiran Kumar Shrestha and Chairman of Bishal Foundation upon the special presence of Arun Nepal, Minister for State Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.

The loans will be provided with 1 to 3 percent interest. The eligible youth will receive a maximum of Rs 1.5 million, RBB CEO Shrestha said.

On the occasion, Minister Nepal said that the state government will provide training to selected candidates with free of cost so as to enable create their jobs in the country itself.
