‘Riyal Ringget’ receives praise at premiere



Kathmandu, August 1: The Nepali film ‘Riyal Ringget’, which highlights current and sensitive issues of Nepali migrants, has been released across the country from today, Friday.

The movie, which portrays the struggles, pain, and realities of Nepali migrant workers, was well-received during its premiere.

According to distributors, the film has secured around 100 screenings nationwide. Audiences at the premiere praised the film’s story, performances, music, and especially its strong social message. Viewers remarked that the movie reflects “the lives of millions of Nepalis.”

‘Riyal Ringget’ depicts the experiences of Nepali workers who travel to Gulf countries for employment. The title itself symbolically references the currencies of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia, representing the migrant experience.

The lead roles are played by Pramod Chaulagain and Nita Dhungana. The film also features powerful performances from a large cast including Chhulthim Dolma Gurung, Rabindra Khadka, Dhruba Koirala, Prem Subba, Ramchandra Adhikari, Riyar Rai, Roshan Shrestha, Ishwari Baral, Bimala Giri, Seema KC, Sandeep Tamang, Subash Thapa Magar, and Bishal Thapa, among others.

Produced under the banner of Rebel Films by Gaganlal Pradhan, the film is directed by Bibhor Pokharel and written by Pradeep Bhardwaj. It was shot in India, Chitwan, Kathmandu, and Letang.

Action direction is by Roshan Shrestha, cinematography by Hari Ghale, editing by Bipin Mall, and background score by Kiran Tuladhar.

The music for the film is composed by Ramchandra Kafle, Kiran Tuladhar, and Chandan Dhwaj KC, with vocals by Sugam Pokharel, Ketan Kshetri, Ramchandra Kafle, and Junu Rijal Kafle.

Lyrics are penned by Amar Nyaupane, Ravi Mall, Kosis Kshetri, Pradeep Bhardwaj, and Chandan Dhwaj KC. #nepal #film #cinema
