Kathmandu, March 28: Protesters advocating for the reinstatement of the monarchy have vandalized private property in the Tinkune area in Kathmandu.
The demonstrators set fire to chairs and documents taken from inside a house. They stormed two houses near the Royal Banquet in Tinkune and ignited fires. Stones thrown by the protesters shattered the glass windows of the houses.
According to reports, the protesters resorted to arson after alleging that tear gas was fired from the rooftop of one of the houses. Clashes erupted between the protesters and police, prompting law enforcement to deploy tear gas. The situation in the area remains tense. #protest #nepal #monarchy
