Rs 150 million budget for disaster-ravaged road reconstruction



Hetauda, Jan 3: The Bagmati province government has decided to provide budget amounting to Rs 152.5 for the reconstruction of disaster-ravaged road and infrastructure.

A meeting of the province government held on Friday decided to provide Rs 152.5 million for the rebuild of disaster-hit provincial road and infrastructure.

Spokesperson of the Bagmati province government and Minister for Internal Affairs Suraj Chandra Lamichhane informed that the province government took the decision to provide Rs 112.5 for the reconstruction of disaster-affected Hetauda-Kathmandu road and Rs 40 million for the repair of other roads and infrastructure.

According to him, the meeting has allocated Rs 5 million budget for the maintenance of Kulekhani-Sisneri road and Rs 2.5 million for Kulekhani-Mahalaxmi Rivulet Phakhel section.

Spokesperson Lamichhane said that Rs 20 million would be allocated for the construction of Bailey bridge at Simkhol, Rs 60 million for the reconstruction of Sisneri section and Rs 25 million for the reconstruction of Sisneri-Chhaimle section road.

The meeting decided to allocate resources from the budget of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning under the heading of ‘finance miscellaneous’ and the budget from Line Ministries, he said.

In the meeting of the Province Disaster Council held on Thursday, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development had decided to arrange budget as proposed. #RSS #ROAD
