Kathmandu, July 8: The parties affiliated to Samajbadi Morcha or Socialist Front have agreed to change the leadership of the Morcha every 6 months.
The meeting held at Aloknagar office of the NCP (Unified Socialist) on Saturday made an agreement that the chairmanship of the front will be alternated in 6/6 months.
Today’s meeting was chaired by CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal. The meeting also decided to hold programs in the capitals of all seven provinces. However, the date of programs will be decided by the meeting held on Ashad 27th, informed Rajendra Pandey, Vice President of CPN (U S).
The meeting formed a four-member working group to formulate the policy and program and code of conduct of the front. Among them are Dev Gurung of CPN-Maoist Center, Rajendra Shrestha of Janata Samajbadi Party, Pramesh Hamal of CPN (Unified Socialist) and Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist).
Samajbadi Morcha-affiliated parties have 54 MPs in the House of Representatives. The front was announced on Ashad 4, under the leadership of the top leaders of CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajbadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist) and Biplava-led Nepal Communist Party (Maoist).
