Sandeep flew to Dubai after ICC permission

Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane

Kathmandu, March 1: The ICC has given permission to add leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane to the national team for the tri-nation series under World Cup League-2 to be played at Dubai of UAE.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved the permission requested by the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) to replace the injured Shyam Dhakal (Mausam) with Sandeep.

Earlier, Sandeep was not included in the team going to UAE due to the ban imposed by Patan High Court on foreign travel. After the ban was lifted by the Supreme Court on Monday, Sandeep has flown to UAE on Wednesday evening.

Nepal is facing UAE on Dubai on Thursday. The match will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
