Pokhara, Dec 10: Two young women riding a scooter died when a car hit their scooter in Pokhara on Sunday evening.
According to local police, the deceased are 23-year-old Anisha Khadka, a resident of Hemja, Pokhara Metropolitan City-25, and 24-year-old Bhabana Baral, a resident of Pokhara-5.
Private car No. BA 0041, which was going from Pokhara to Talchok, hit the scooter No. G13P 3578 coming from the opposite direction at Prithvi Marg, Pokhara-26 Sundari Bazaar.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK informed that both the seriously injured girls were taken to Western Regional Hospital under Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences for treatment.
The police have detained the driver of the car, Man Bahadur Baniya, a resident of Arghaun, and the car.
