Kathmandu, Jan 28: Scotland registered their first win in the Super Six stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, defeating Ireland by 39 runs in a thrilling match at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground today.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Scotland posted a competitive total of 160 for 5. Sarah Bryce anchored the innings with a solid 47, while Kathryn Bryce contributed 30 off 23 balls.
Chasing the target, Ireland were bowled out for 121 in 19.2 overs. Scotland’s Kathryn Bryce starred with the ball, claiming four crucial wickets to seal the victory.
Likewise, Bangladesh defeated Thailand by 39 runs in another Super Six encounter. Batting first, Bangladesh posted 165 for 8, while Thailand were restricted to 126 runs in reply. #nepal #cricket
