Bharatpur: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ramchandra Poudel, has said the recent decision in the party must be corrected. Talking to media persons at Bharatpur airport on Saturday, senior leader Poudel said he had not accepted the work style of party President.
“The points I raised for consensus must be addressed, which paves way for unity in the party,” he reiterated. Poudel further accused party President Sher Bahadur Deuba of acting one-sidedly. The NC has announced the date for its 14th general convention by extending the term of existing working committee amidst boycott by the Poudel camp. It has widened rift in the party.
Senior leader Poudel further said “There are problems in the party. I had presented nine-point agenda for resolving problems in the party. But discussion eluded and decision was taken one-sidedly.” He however said the disputes enliven the party.
He also argued that he was in a mission to restore party as a centre of trust. The cadres and leaders seek option to make party stroner.
Moreover, he admitted that NC leadership failed to play effective role of opposition.
