Kathmandu: The Judicial Council has recommended the names of seven district judges.
The Council meeting chaired by chairperson and Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana on Tuesday took this decision, said Council Spokesperson Man Bahadur Karki.
The undersecretary working under the judicial service recommended as district judges are Gehendra Raj Pant, Bidyaraj Poudel, Mahendra Raj Kafle, Tekraj Joshi, Indira Sharma, Man Kumari JM BK and Rita Kumari Bakhrel.
The recommended judges are appointed and installed today itself.
As per the installation, judge Pant is for Bhojpur District Court, Poudel for Rukum District Court, Kafle for Solukhumbu District Court, Joshi for Dolpa District Court, Sharma for Jhapa District Court, BK for Banke District Court and Bakhrel for Saptari District Court.
