Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba held a joint meeting with the leaders of the three main ruling party on Thursday at his official residence at Baluwatar.

The leaders present on the meeting were Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.

During the meeting, the three leaders discussed the political issues, said Govinda Pariyar, the Press Chief to the Prime Minister Deuba.

A debate is on in recent days among the major parties regarding parliamentary approval of the USA Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact.

Similarly, the parties in the ruling coalition are in discussion for forming coalition in the forthcoming local level election. The government has already announced date for the local election.

However, leaders from the Nepali Congress have been raising voice against any coalition in the elections. They have repeatedly argued for contesting election by it’s own strength.

Leader Dr Shekhar Koirala today itselt met with Prachanda and showed intention to fight election separately. However, Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal have been arguing for forming stronger coalition in the election.
