Kathmandu, Jan 13: The Nagarik Unmukti Party has appointed the party’s founding chair Ranjita Shrestha as the Co-Chairperson.
The first meeting of the party’s newly-elected central committee held in Tikapur of Kailali on Saturday decided to appoint Shrestha to the post of Co-Chairperson by amending the party statute.
Earlier, the first general convention of the party held in Tikapur elected Resham Chaudhary as the party Chairman.
Amending the party statute, the Nagarik Unmukti Party has arranged two general secretaries along with 39 party office-bearers.
Damodar Pandit has been elected to the post of Senior Vice-Chair while Tikalaxmi Chaudhary was elected the Treasurer of the party unopposed.
The party has also elected seven vice-chairs in all seven provinces. Ratan Bahadur Thapa, Shiva Kumar Bastola, Mahendra Pun, Indra Kumari Limbu and Ram Kumar Mahato were elected as the vice-chairs. RSS
