
Lalitpur, March 15: The socialist front has decided to organize a demonstration in Kathmandu on March 28.
Secretary at the socialist front’s secretariat, Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma, informed at a programme here Saturday that the demonstration was aimed at giving a message against the recent attempts to suppress citizen’s rights. It is also for foiling anomaly, he added.
In the programme, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ informed that the programme was organized today to share perspective of the political parties which are for inclusion and proportional system. “When we’re in power, we did positive works to clean out corruption. Now, we’re at people’s doorsteps,” he said, admitting, “In the past, we committed mistakes, some of our agenda are missed. We’ve realized it now.”
Chairman Dahal further said their struggle was not against people’s aspiration, faith and culture for protection of the achievements of federal republic gained through long struggle. It is our duty to well inform people on country’s independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty, he added.
According to him, the ultimate goal of the socialist front is the socialist republic. Our immediate goal is progress, specially in rural economy through industry and entrepreneurship, he added.
The former Prime Minister utilized the time to view that it had been 10 years the country got new constitution, so requiring discussion on its amendment.
He further made it clear that the views he made yesterday indicating monarchy were not new, as these were raised since he was underground. “I spoke what all Nepalis have in mind,” he said, adding that Nepali people have a tremendous role to introduce the inclusive and proportional system.
Chairman Dahal argued the socialist front moves ahead as per its goal. On the occasion, Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said the socialist republic of Nepali characteristics is the present need.
He said the persons who ruled the country based on family line need to pay heed to Nepal’s image. Similarly, leader Netra Bikram Chand informed that a campaign was launched to unite the Maoist forces of Nepal in a single strand.#nepal #political #rss
