Kathmandu, Aug 28: Speaker Devraj Ghimire today certified the Bill relating to Transitional Justice.
According to the Speaker’s press expert Shekhar Adhikari, the Speaker certified the Commission of Investigation on the Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act (third amendment) Bill, 2081 BS today.
The Bill has been already endorsed by both houses of the Federal Parliament. The House of Representatives (HoR) passed it on August 14 and it was followed by the endorsement by the National Assembly on August 22.
Meanwhile, the parliament secretariat has sent the Bill to the President for authentication before it becomes legally validated for implementation. #TRC #nepal
