Kathmandu, July 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the role of sports competition is significant for the institutional development of sports.
Inaugurating the ‘Prakash Dahal Memorial Fourth Women and Men Open National Boxing Tournament’ today, the Prime Minister said this.
The Competition is jointly organized by the Prakash Dahal Foundation and the Nepal Boxing Federation at the Tripureshwor-based Dashrath Stadium.
Foundation’s Chair Bina Magar said the best performer in the event: one woman and one man will be awarded a motorcycle each as an honour.
A total of 200 boxers are competing in the event to run till July 5.
