Biratnagar, March 18: A young man accused of murdering a staff nurse in Biratnagar was found dead in a hotel in Biratnagar. Police said that 23-year-old Shiv Shankar Das, a resident of Phulkahkatti in Siraha, was found dead hanging from the fan of Fine Hotel and Lodge located in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4 with a plastic rope trap.
According to Morang Police, Shiv Shankar was found dead in room number 102 of the hotel around 9:45 pm on Sunday. Police has suspected that he committed suicide.
After completing the legal process, the police took the body to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar for post-mortem. Police has initiated further investigation in this matter. Shiv Shankar seems to have booked a hotel room around 11 am on Sunday.
The body of 22-year-old Chandrika Kumari Das, a staff nurse working in the orthopedic department of Nobel Teaching Hospital located in Biratnagar-4, was found dead last Friday. The dead body of Chandrika was recovered from the toilet of her residence in a suspected condition.
After throwing the dead body in the toilet, the key of the room was locked from outside and the person involved in the murder absconded. According to the police, Chandrika was killed by cutting her throat with a kitchen knife. The weapon used in the murder has been recovered by the police. His murder has been revealed through the preliminary investigation that took place on Thursday.
After it was discovered that Chandrika had been killed, the police were looking for Shiv Shankar, who was absconding. He was found dead while the police continued to search. According to the police, it has been revealed that Shiv Shankar and Chandrika have been in a relationship for about 4 years. While tracking his mobile phone, the police showed the location around Kanchanbari in Biratnagar. After that, the police reached the room of Fine Hotel while searching.
