Protest against MCC in Kathmandu, 86 demonstrators arrested (Photo feature)



Police have arrested 86 demonstrators on charges of voilation of public law and order today. They were involved in protesting against US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Santosh Singh Rathore has said that the demonstrators were arrested from Babarmahal and Baneshwor. A senior leader from ruling CPN (Maoist Center), Mr Narayan Kaji Shreshtha, himself was in the street.

A group of youths affiliated to Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist), Netra Bikram Chanda led Nepal Communist Party, among others have staged a protest rally in Maitighar, Kathmandu.
