Kathmandu, July 27: The Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has decided to present this year’s ‘Prakash Human Rights Award’ to Sunil Kumar Yadav, the Coordinator of Chure and Forests Conservation Campaign.
INSEC Chairperson Dr Kundan Aryal shared that ‘Prakash Human Rights Award’ jury committee formed under coordination of founding Chairperson of INSEC, Sushil Pyakurel, took the decision to confer the award on Yadav.
Yadav, out of 40 candidates, was selected for the award for his continuous active role on the issue of Chure conservation and environmental rights since 2074 BS. He is a resident of Simraungadh Municipality-2 in Bara district.
The award carries a purse of Rs 50,000 and would be presented at a programme to be organised on the 33rd Prakash Memorial Day in Kathmandu on August 1. The INSEC presents the award every year in memory of its founding General-Secretary, Prakash Kafle. #nepal #humanrights #INSEC
