Kathmandu, March 25: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday issued an order in the name of the government to issue affiliation for B & C Medical College of Birtamod, Jhapa.
Justices Dr Kumar Chudal and Saranga Subedi handed down the verdict.
Spokesperson of SC Bed Prasad Upreti shared that a verdict was issued on Monday to instructing the government to grant affiliation to the college for running medical courses.

Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain had lodged a writ petition at the SC in 2077 BS seeking an order to grant affiliation to his college. He has been urging government to grant full affiliation for the course.
According to reports, B&C has invested billions of Rupees for the construction of teaching hospital and other infrastructures. It has taken loan nearly five billion from different banks.
Presently, the B&C is running state-of-the-art hospital in Jhapa district, and waiting for the medical courses, especially MBBS courses. #Nepal
