Kathmandu, Feb 24: The Supreme Court did not allow cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane to go abroad. Supreme Court judge Ishwar Khatiwada gave this order after a hearing on the petition to lift the ban on traveling abroad.

The bench has also ordered to submit the appeal given by the government against the order to release Sandeep on bail on Sunday.

Although the High Court ordered to release Sandeep on bail, he was barred from traveling abroad. For that reason, he filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that the ban be removed as he will not be able to go to the UAE to play the triangular series of the ICC World Cup League-2 in the UAE.

The government filed an appeal against the order to release Sandeep on bail and the hearing of the case was scheduled in the bench of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Hariprasad Phuyal.
