Manang: Tek Bahadur Gurung of Nepali Congress has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Manang district. Along with this, Congress has won two seats. CPN-UML has won one seat from Lalitpur-2.
Gurung defeated CPN-UML’s Polden Chhopang Gurung by 328 votes. Gurung of Congress received 2,575 votes while Gurung of UML received 2,247 votes.
According to the Chief Electoral Office, Munindrajung Gurung of Nepali Congress has been elected in Provincial Assembly ‘A’ and Rajiv Gurung (Deepak Manange) as an independent candidate from Provincial Assembly ‘B’.
In Manang, 71.47 percent votes were cast. According to the District Election Office, 4,845 votes were cast out of a total of 6,779 voters.
