Birgunj, Dec 20: Three people were killed and 27 injured when a passenger bus and a truck collided in Bara.
Bus No. 3-001 B 2587 going to Kathmandu from Kakadbhitta and Truck No. 7 B 7300 coming from Hetauda to Pathalaiya collided near bridge No. 3 at Amlekhganj Wednesday morning.
According to Dadhiram Neupane, Police Spokesperson of District Police Office, Bara, truck driver Purna Gurung, 28, from Tanahun, bus driver Harishamsher Suyal Thapa, 40, from Makwanpur Hetauda and another man who could not be identified died in the accident.
They died during treatment in Hetauda. The police said that seven of the injured were sent to Hetaunda and Chitwan Medical Colleges for treatment as their condition was serious.
It is said that 20 other minor injuries are being treated in local hospitals.
