Rajbiraj, Feb 28: Three persons died and 12 others are injured in a road accident occurred at Kanchanrup Municipality in Saptari district this morning.
Three persons died on the spot after two vehicles (Pra 2-02-001 Cha 0746 and Ba 18 Cha 6617) from opposite directions collided head on near Bishnumandir area of Kanchanrup along the East-West Highway.
The deceased are identified as Sanjaya Chaudhary, Raj Kumari Chaudhary and Hareram Sah of Duhabi Municipality-3 in Sunsari district. The Bolero Pickup Van with registered number plate Pra 2-02-001 Cha 0746 was carrying horses in it.
Twelve persons are injured in the accident.
According to police, the injured ones are rushed to Biratnagar for treatment after their primary treatment at Dharmeshwor Hospital in Saptari.
91-yrs-old man dies of burn injuries
A 91-year-old man died of burn injuries in a fire occurred last night at Bansar Khinchowkbensi in Dordi Rural Municipality-8, Lamjung.
Police Inspector of District Police Office, Lamjung, Jagdish Regmi said that nonagenarian Hangi Kami died after the fire broke out at his hut.
Police Inspector Regmi said that Kami died in the fire as he could not come out of his hut due to his physical inabilities.
Some domestic animals including sheep, buffaloes and others have also sustained burn injuries, it is said.
Minor dead in road mishap
A child died in a road accident at Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-4 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Sustapaschim) last night.
Thirteen years old Babin Chhetri of the rural municipality died after a tractor (Lu 4 Ta 3046) overturned on the roadside, Information Officer of District Police Office, Nawalpur, Santosh Pathak said.
Injured Chhetri died while receiving treatment at Madhyabindu District Hospital, Danda. Two others injured in the mishap are receiving treatment in the same hospital, Pathak said.
