Surkhet, Aug 28: At least three people died and other 27 were injured when a bus bound to Nepalgunj from Jajarkot met with an accident at Bheriganga municipality-5, Harremod along the Ratna Highway this morning.
According to the District Police Office, Surkhet, one died on the spot and two others at Kohalpur Medical College during treatment when the bus (Na 4 Kha 9317) met with the accident at around 3.30 am. Two among the dead are women and one man.
The injured are receiving treatment at Bheriganga municipality-based medical and Kohalpur Medical College.
Rabi Rawal, Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) of Surkhet Police Office, shared that the deceased are yet to be identified. Though the reason behind the accident has not been established, police suspected it to be due to high speed of the bus.
