BUTWAL: Three people died and two other critically injured after a car hit a truck in Butwal Sunday night.
According to local police, a car (Lu 3 Cha 4442) collided with a truck (2 Kha 9772) at Tamnagar in Butwal Sub-Metropolis-12.
The deceased has not been identified yet, police said. One died on the spot and two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The two persons seriously injured in the incident were undergoing treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal.
The truck driver had absconded and was being searched.
