Top leaders of ruling parties discuss Cabinet expansion

KATHMANDU: The top leaders of parties in the ruling alliance – Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) and the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal – have held discussions on giving full shape to the Council of Ministers at the earliest.

The meeting attended by the top leaders took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar and it was convened by Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Nepali Congress general secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka who was present in the meeting said that the leaders of the coalition parties discussed this topic.

The meeting also reviewed the contemporary political issues as well as discussed the operation of the government.

PM Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, JSPN Chair Upendra Yadav, NC general secretary Khadka were among the leaders present in the meeting.
