Kathmandu, Dec 23: The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) International Diagnosis and Treatment Center has been formally started in Nepal. The Civil Service Hospital in Kathmandu and BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Chitwan will serve the patients.
A team of doctors and medical professionals also arrived in Nepal for the new services.
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Mr Raj Kumar Gupta and Ambassador of China to Nepal Mr Chen Song jointly inaugurated the service amidst a special function in Kathmandu.
According to Chinese Embassy, second Chinese medical-aid-team medical point in Civil Service Hospital, aside from BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospitall has already set up. Since their arrival, radiotherapy service will be started soon. And the second TCM International Diagnosis and Treatment Center in Nepal is inaugurated today.
Both these government-owned and operated hospitals – Civil Service Hospital and BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital – were constructed from the China Aid. The Government of China is also helping to modernize the medical equipment and providing training to their staff.
