Kathmandu, July 12: Traffic along Prithvi highway remains closed from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am from July 10. According to the Department of Roads, the vehicular movement remains closed till July 24 as repair and maintenance of bridges in Ganesh rivulet, Dangdung rvulet, Kheste rivulet and Pokhare rivulet in Naubise-Malekhu road section along Prithvi highway has to be carried out.
A decision was taken to close the road section in view of possible risk to road users and disruption of vehicular movement, added the Department. A notice issued by the Department reads, “Vehicles except ambulance and those using by security bodies will be completely stop from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am everyday till July 24.” It also urged one and all to use Galchhi-Bidur-Chhahare-Tokha road as its alternative route.
