Travel on Daunne section of Narayangadh-Butwal Road still not easy

Nawalparasi, Dec 31: The Daunne section of the Narayangadh-Butwal road, which has been blocked since last Monday, has still not become passable.

The road remains impassable because vehicles cannot operate on the slippery Daunne road due to the cold wave.

Superintendent of Police Yubraj Khadka of the District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) said that operation of vehicles on this section has become problematic since Monday morning after vehicles started slipping on the road along the Khursanikhola rivulet at Daunne and were unable to climb the uphill.

“The problem is because the road in the western section of Daunne has become slippery and muddy due to the settling of the mist that has occurred due to the cold wave, preventing vehicles from climbing uphill or descending downhill, causing road blockage.

Gradually, efforts are being made to allow vehicles to pass, but managing vehicles that have been stopped for three days has been difficult,” he said. Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Joshi from the District Traffic Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East) said vehicle operation has become difficult due to the heavy fog and slippery road in Daunne. #nepal #rssDaunne
