Kathmandu, Feb 9: Two persons died when a school bus met an accident at Bhanjyang of Pharping at Dakshinkali municipality-3 in Kathmandu district on Sunday.
The ill-fated bus was carrying 50 students. A school bus (Ba 1 Kha 5664) belonging to Junkiri School met with an accident on Sunday at 3:30 PM, plunging 100 meters down the road, leaving 41 people injured, according to the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
SP Apilraj Bohora shared that the students injured in the accident have been sent to various hospitals for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Ram Krishna Thapa Magar, the school bus driver from Dakshinkali Municipality-4, and 8-year-old Bipin Shrestha from the same area. According to the police, Thapa Magar died during treatment at Dakshinkali Municipal Hospital, while Shrestha passed away at Trauma Center in Kathmandu during treatment.
According to the police, the injured are undergoing treatment at hospitals as Vayodha Hospital (5), Nagar Hospital Dakshinkali (3), Kirtipur Hospital (5), Sahid Hospital (3), Trauma Center (12), Medicity Hospital (7), Manmohan Hospital (5), and Norvic Hospital (1). #accident #pharping
