Two held with 25 kgs of Marijuana at TIA

Kathmandu, Dec 16: The Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police held two persons from Balambu of Kathmandu along with 25 kilograms of marijuana, the banned narcotics in the country.

Police said that Bhim Bahadur Tamang and Kanchha Tamang of Koilikharka village of Galchhi in Dhading district have been arrested for their involvement in the business of this narcotics.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and chief of the bureau Govinda Thapaliya said that police personnel were mobilized acting on a tipoff. “Investigations are ongoing over the issue,” SSP Thapaliya said.

Meanwhile, 55 kilograms of Marijuana imported to Nepal from the USA through parcel has also been held from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
