Humla, Dec 26: Two people were injured and five houses were damaged in a fire that broke out at Sarkegad Rural Municipality–2, Rip village, last night.
According to local resident Bijaya Fadera, the fire originated from the house of Laiba Fadera and spread rapidly, causing damage to nearby houses. Laiba Fadera and Bambu Fadera sustained injuries in the incident and were taken to the District Hospital for treatment the same night.
The houses of Laiba Fadera, Jayaram Fadera, Kranti Fadera, Ramesh Mahatara and Mohan Mahatara were damaged by the blaze. The extent of the loss is yet to be assessed.
The fire was brought under control with the assistance of local residents, Fadera said. Police Inspector Bishnu Shrestha of the District Police Office stated that security personnel from the Sarkegad police post were immediately deployed following the incident. #fire #accident #humla
