KATHMANDU: Two persons were killed when a passenger bus met with an accident at Tuikuna of Athbis Municipality-1 on the Dailekh section of the Karnali Highway.
The deceased have been identified as Jitendra Bahadur Shahi, 38, of Bharti and Kamal BK of Narharinath Rural Municipality of Kalikot district.
According to DSP Anup Shrestha of the District Police Office, Dailekh, 10 persons were injured in the accident. DSP Shrestha said that 7 out of 10 injured were sent to Surkhet by ambulance.
The bus (02001 Kha 247) has fallen about 50 meters from the highway. The bus was carrying 18 passengers from Kalikot.
