Kathmandu, Dec 13: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has provided 42 sets of computers to two community schools in Kathmandu.
The computers were distributed with the aim of improving the quality of education in community schools. Of the total, Shanti Bidhya Griha School, Lainchaur received 32 computers, while Lokhit Basic School, Thamel was provided with 10 during a programme held on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kathmandu–26 Ward Chair Khyam Raj Tiwari expressed hope that the beneficiaries would make maximum use of the support to enhance the quality of education.
Chair of the Shanti Bidhya Griha School Management Committee, Barsharam Bhandari, thanked the local government for the assistance.
Likewise, head teacher Bishnu Prasad Dhakal pledged to effectively utilise the computers to improve students’ academic performance.
Established in 2004 BS, Shanti Bidhya Griha School currently has more than 1,200 students, while Lokhit Basic School has 106 students. #nepal #rss
