Birtamod, Oct 22: Two people died in a road accident on Saturday in Arjundhara Municipality-3 Khudunabari of Jhapa district.
According to Navraj Neupane, Chief of District Traffic Police Office, Jhapa, when a mini truck and a scooty collided, the driver of the scooty, 35-year-old Yam Bhattarai of Arjundhara-2 Gazabari, died on the spot and 36-year-old Roshan Lungeli Magar, who was sitting behind the scooter, died at B&C Hospital in Birtamod during treatment.
The police arrested Hem Bahadur Shrestha, 25, of Arjundhara-2, the driver of the mini-truck, and are investigating the incident.
