U-19 Asia Cup Cricket: Nepal loses five wickets against Pakistan



Kathmandu, Dec 8:  Nepal lost the toss against Pakistan in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup cricket tournament, and Pakistan invited Nepal to bat first in the Dubai-based ICC Academy Oval-2 ground.

India and Afghanistan are also in Group A of the tournament along with Nepal.

Nepal has already lost five wickets in quick succession with just 46 runs in 17 overs in the scoreboard. Nepali batsman Arjun Kumal (21), Tilak Bhandari (7), Aakash Tripathi (6), captain Dev Khanal (0) and Gulshan Jha (1) were out.

Now, Uttam Magar and Dipesh Kandel are in the crease.

Nepal will play its second match against Afghanistan on Sunday. Nepal will play the third and final match of the group against India next Tuesday.

Nepal’s Playing XI:

Dev Khanal (captain), Arjun Kumal, Aakash Tripathi, Gulshan Jha, Dipesh Kandel, Bishal Bikram KC, Subhash Bhandari, Uttam Thapa Magar, Bipin Rawal (wicket keeper), Tilak Raj Bhandari and Akash Chand.
