Kathmandu, Dec 13: Sri Lanka bowled out Nepal for a modest 82 runs (28.5 overs) in the ACC Men’s U-19 Asia Cup match played in Dubai on Thursday.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka elected to field first and put the Nepali side under early pressure. Nepal failed to build a solid opening partnership and struggled throughout the innings to post a competitive total.
Cibrin Shrestha was Nepal’s top scorer with 18 runs, followed by Sahil Patel with 12 and Niraj Kumar Yadav with 10. None of the other Nepali batsmen managed to reach double figures.
For Sri Lanka, Sethmika Seneviratne delivered an impressive bowling performance, claiming five wickets to dismantle the Nepali batting lineup. #nepal #srilanka #cricket
